The penina golf courses are 3 courses all designed by Sir Henry Cotton, the original being designed in the 1960's. Since then 2 additional 9 hole courses have been created. The penina courses are part of the Le Meridien penina golf and leisure resort on the outskirts of Portimao and close to the traditional village of Alvor.
